A GAME SUPPORTER’S LIFE

By: Joochi Anapi

This E-Journey article would be a bit different from the other articles that we previously released. This article has been drafted and created by the employee himself. But before diving into this, we would first like to introduce him, his background and share bits of information about who he is.

Joochi Kleoff Mari Anapi spends most of his time either reading or playing video games, but most of all snacking on foods or early lunches. Born in Manila but spent most of his childhood in the province of Cuayan Isabela. He studied Mass Communication but wasn’t able to pursue this career for some personal reasons. And now working with E-Guardian Philippines, he’ll talk more about his life as a game supporter and coping up with difficulties these trying times.

A GAME SUPPORTER’S LIFE

Are you the type of person that enjoys your work? Does it make you happy? Excited? Frustrated? Or just exhausted by the end of the day. In these hard and trying times there are few jobs that the workers get to enjoy whether they are physically or mentally taxing. There are not much jobs that can make a worker admit that they enjoy what they’re doing and would say “The jobs done for today, better take an early sleep so that I can work as early as tomorrow”, to be excited to work again as if it was giving them purpose a sense of self satisfaction, after all we work in order to get paid.

Most of my adult life adults have always said that I should find work in order to be a self-sufficient adult. To allow ourselves to live a proper lifestyle and live a comfortable life for ourselves and family. There was a time in my younger years when an economics professor reminded us of an old saying that said; “Those who don’t do not deserve to eat” . Translating to a person should focus on work in order to eat and live. But life is not only focused on work right?

This single quote inspired us to work harder so that we can earn to live a comfortable life. To work hard and get paid, earning money for our needs.

But is that how life should be? I thought a person’s purpose in life is to search for happiness. To give life meaning and live through it without regret. To be filled with a sense of accomplishment and pride for yourself.

In EG-Philippines, I could not see the difference anymore, to enjoy my work each day that helps me earn well and a sense of self-worth for every success I made. Failure was there but this company is a team focus group that supports each other, mistakes are made and accidents happen and yet, there are those who want you to succeed individually so that the team grows as a whole.

“There are no I’s in a team”, EG-Philippines is a company that not only helps me grow but tests me to improve more to where I am lacking.

I grew a bit more mature even though I am still inexperienced, I guess it’s part of growing up to learn all sorts of things. So from what I have experienced in working in EG-Philippines, it made my life easier in these harsh times and being able to work at home made it more comfortable and easier now, thanks to the advancement of technology.
