E-Guardian Philippines Inc. supports the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in its goal to strengthen the safety and health standards in the workplace through Republic Act No.11058 and DOLE Department Order No.198 or the Occupational Safety and Health Policy (OSH).
In accordance with DOLE’s standards, all qualified establishments are required to train and educate their employees about the OSH Policy. In line with this, EGP chose viable team members to participate in a 4-day Red Cross First Aid Training on August 20-23 and the Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training for Safety Officer 1 (BOSH SO1) on September 4.
The Basic First Aid Training of the Philippine Red Cross is regularly held to certify individuals to provide first aid and basic life support during disasters and emergencies. On the other hand, the BOSH SO1 is a 10-hour training workshop to able its participants to be adept at identifying workplace hazards and preventing workplace accidents.
EG Philippines’ participation and compliance with DOLE’s policies would pave the way to strengthen the policies for its employees’ safety. EGP values the health and safety of its employees within the workplace thus nudging its management to make every team member knowledgeable of the standards of this policy.
