Women’s Month

The global observance known as International Women’s Day (IWD) honors the social, economic, cultural, and political accomplishments of women. The day serves as a reminder to intensify gender parity. Worldwide, there are a lot of activities as people gather to honor women’s accomplishments or rally for gender equality. Since 1987, the month of March has been recognized as Women’s History Month to honor the achievements that women have made to history, culture, and society. Women’s History Month 2023 will take place from Wednesday, March 1 – Friday, March 31, 2023.

International Women’s Day is held yearly on March 8 to celebrate:

WOMEN ARE POWERFUL

A powerful woman takes on obstacles, defends her rights, and won’t remain silent when someone abuses their position of authority. She speaks her heart and mind and respects herself enough to stand up for herself, the causes she supports, and the wellbeing of others. She is not hesitant to express her ideas and opinions, regardless of what others may think

WOMEN MATTERS

At the end of the day, a woman’s endurance to all things that she faces, makes her strong, wise, and beautiful. It’s how they do their fair part to their families, friends, and society that makes them valuable and worthy.

Every woman serves the common goal of empowering one another. It is important to commemorate International Women’s Day because it allows us to acknowledge the accomplishments women have made and the way we’ve traveled in the direction of gender equality. Remember that you are not alone no matter what difficulties you experience, whether you are a woman of color, a woman with a disability, or a woman who experiences discrimination, harassment, or abuse. Let’s take a stand for one another.

Empowering women is essential to the health and social development of families, communities and countries. When women are living safe, fulfilled and productive lives, they can reach their full potential.
